Yes, the risk of involuntary blood, tissue and DNA sampling has been eliminated.

To be completely truthful, it's simply moved to a much safer place:

New location of my chest.

For those of you not completely in the know: that chest is pretty solid, the corners are protected by bits of iron and are at a height slightly below the knee on most people. That part of hallway effectively splits the apartment in two parts and must hence be passed pretty often, including night-time visits to the bathroom or the kitchen. A walking-speed impact with those iron-plated corners is more than enough to draw blood and pain, and some of us have the scars to prove it ...

On a less painful note

Bean salad!

A big bacth (probably three large servings) of home-made bean salad.

Three kinds of beans, lettuce, tomatoes, an onion, an apple and various spices. Rooibos tea to go with it. Yummy, and I estimate it will easily fill about three hungry instances of me up. Between this and my successful woking experience last night, I have lunches for the whole week fixed without even trying. I definitely want to keep that up!

I went for a late afternoon run as well. I thought I pushed myself much less than last time, and I felt less tired when I finished too. Yet I somehow managed to be half a minute faster. One of those odd times when perceptions and result are out of sync. Nice when they're out of sync in this way though, it's fun to have a clock tell you you're better than you think :-) ...
