The first Raving rabbids was a party game, sure. The sequel, however, goes all the way. The important improvements are:

• All games are available right away. No single-player unlocking treadmill needed.
• All games are designed so that everyone can play at once.

Increased customization of games to play (think playlists of minigames) and more costumes is icing on the cake.

These wonderful improvements mean you take the game straight out of the plastic, start it with four players who have never played it before and you have a ton of fun.

Simple as that.
