Our Tivoli audio model one radio is in many ways one of my favourite gadgets. And still, I never would have guessed beforehand that a radio with one speaker and no extra features would appeal to me at all. At the same time, it doesn't feel all that strange. To me, Tivoli products have a very similar appeal as things Apple make. The same message that these are the functions you need in a well-made package, neither more nor less. The same ability to make an old concept feel new and appealing, and the same total simplicity in design. The same feeling that everything just works, and that the balance they've struck with their product is the perfect one.
Perhaps it's simply what you should expect from high-end products in any market, and it's just that I've only stumbled into these two so far?
