Supersized nation of others

Today we've watched Supersize me, and I have to say I'm not quite as taken off fast food as I thought I might be. For one thing, I was already pretty off the thought of regular fast food (and even eating out regularly). For another, I know that exercising decently means I can have a burger every now and then and not feel (too) bad about it. Speaking of exercising, if the weather behaves somewhat I want to run tomorrow. My regularity hasn't been too good lately, but I did get out twice last week, once which was with dad and Gustav on Saturday. Some day soon I'm going to try and run a double round to get a feel for that kind of distance. We're going to run a half marathon in May so it's about time to try some extended distances. I have this feeling that I should be able to keep my pace without too much trouble for longer distances than the ones I usually run, but I haven't tried doing so yet. So trying 17 kilometers will really be some new territory. I'm confident, but (or perhaps because) I'm good at slowing down and not exhausting myself if it should start to feel challenging.

Yesterday I thought I'd do some running today, but both the weather and my head were kind of bad. It doesn't look like the weather will improve by tomorrow, but as long as my head is working it's good enough for me.

The most likely cause of my headache was a worthy one too: loud sounds and headshakes when I saw Kent live last night. Yay, it only took me what, twelve years of being a listener to get around to it. Worth waiting for? Definitely. Good reasons for waiting? Definitely not. The experience didn't require ear protection either, it was loud but never painfully so. Just overwhelmingly good, and I got to hear most of the songs I would have put at the top of my wishlist too. An unexpected high point was a mangling, high-speed, heavily disco-ized version of Dom andra. But really, almost everything was a high for me.

I was easy like that.

Familjen was the opening act, and while the impression wasn't all that great live I'm going to give their music a shot to see what it's like. It might just be something I could get into.

Zombie spices

Salt and pepper shakers doing their zombie thing.

Yes, hugging salt and pepper shakers too can be freaky when properly arranged.
