Is the iLiad what we've all been looking for?

The iLiad - is it everything I've ever thought a e-book-reader should be?

I don't know about you, but to me the iLiad looks like the e-book-device I've always thought someone should have built and released years ago. DRM-free, no strange driver hoops for syncing, accompanying web service ... And also wireless connectivity, note taking and drawing (builtin Wacom technology, yay!), and encouragement of developers with code under GPL, allowing of software installation and easy SDK access.

It's not even vapourware, I could order version 2 right now for 649 Euros and have it shipped to me within days. No software for Mac available, but everything seems perfectly doable without that. Also, the whole open-ness of the device makes me think Mac software could show up all of a sudden.

Real life catches up with another long-standing thought.
