Why Nintendo sells more consoles than anyone else: because they make stuff my dad suggests we play about five minutes after stepping into my home.
Dad, his wife and my sister visited this weekend. Plenty of food as usual. And we drove to the nearest running track and ran ten kilometers in great (if rather windy when you stopped) autumn weather.
And a bunch of Wii Sports, of course. I took the natural next step of getting two more remotes. Distracting up to four people is now a non-issue, as long as batteries last ...
Spotlight processes eating processor, Finder restarts, lost keychains, stacks ugliness ... I think I've ran by my share of problems. Just as well I didn't put it onto any main computer.
Our gest left around 14:00, and we've been pretty much planted in front of our computers ever since. I've listened to a few more Late night cocoa podcasts, and I have the usual problem of doing suitably non-distracting things with my hands and eyes while I listen.
Writing things certainly doesn't work very well ...
Quinn does work well though.
Thoughts of getting more into Cocoa/OS X/objective C programming keep trundling along in my head, feeling nice and wanting to get out into something concrete. We will see, as usual. In any case, the latest Xcode is installed on Pomum, and automatic memory management in objective C seems mighty suitable for me. And one of the podcasts suggested some good books to read.
(Along with suggesting not getting too many books ...)
