My job is feeling really fun and motivating right now. For various reasons I feel both empowered and quite unstressed at the same time. The best indication of this, to me, is that I feel excited and motivated about work on my way home.
If feeling motivated about what you do after eight hours of it isn't a good sign I don't know what is.
On the kind-of-work-related-if-you-tilt-your-head-and-squint-front Leopard arrives tomorrow, hopefully all the way into my work iMac. I started thinking how the changes might affect Netbeans.
"For the better"
"not at all"
and
"totally breaking it"
all seem about equally likely. After a period of relative stability Netbeans has been acting a little strangely recently, hence my pessimism. It doesn't exactly have anything to blame either. It certainly isn't restrained by system resources. I've had three gigabytes of memory for a while now, and it's still an odd but nice feeling having a few hundred megabytes of free memory and not a single pageout after a few days of work.
