London

After two trips to London I'm starting to think that I might be allergic to the London air. Both times I've turned a bit sneezy and felt a little troubled breathing, and being astmathic to begin with makes the connection even easier to make. Especially when you add in the fact that when sneezing after a day in central London my nose turns out to be full of black particles ...

Icky, but probably good against nosepicking :-) ...

I'm open to the theory of there being something with the rooms I've stayed in as well though, I don't really want to find myself allergic to a whole city, especially not one this large and interesting. I have no problem at all seeing where Terry Pratchett got Ankh Morpork from. There's something so attractive about a city so large, sprawling and unplanned. It definitely wouldn't be the same with a boring square street network, being confusing is part of the fun.

Especially for the satisfaction you get when you manage to read and follow your map correctly, and even several times in a row!
