Energy levels and progress were improved. Not great, but much better. Somewhat more energy, and importantly more direction in which to focus. The whole day has been full of things to keep track of and check off lists. Chores to do, logistics to tend to, homework, dinners … the classics. Now, I finally have very little to tend to until tonigt's podcast recording …
… except that package still has not been delivered, and the delivery window for some reason stretches all the way to 22:00. So I will most likely not feel completely relaxed until that, too, has happened. Sitting around just waiting for something is about the worst, right?
I managed to do some interesting code cleanup at work, but I can not quite decide whether it is the right thing to do or not. It makes some new assumptions, which are completely fine and straightforward in my code, but may not be quite as natural from across the project boundary where things are initiated.
If nothing else, I should probably do some strategic renaming to clarify what is going on and why. Yes, that is most likely it, the whole thing feels awkward at the moment because it is still named as if it did the old thing, which implies a much simpler action than what is going on after my change. But the more complex thing is actually what you want to happen. So, renaming it is. Good thing to start tomorrow off with!
