In less personally important news, I finally watched Elon Musk outlining his plans for making humanity multiplanetary. It was just as inspiring as I had hoped, and the inspirational value can be further increased by reading Wait but why's post about the rocket which forms the core of the plans and the talk.
We need so much more of this kind of drive, this kind of vision to move us all forward. I happily admit I am playing with the thought of making the actual journey should I get the opportunity, that is how at once within reach and exciting it feels to me at the moment.
