Long time no update.

Despite the fact that the search strings people use in Google to find my site provide possible subjects for updates/additions. If I know people end up here looking for something I mention very briefly but do know more about I might as well provide better information ...

Now: breakfast and schoolwork. And why not an update or two as the day passes?

For some reason my intention to focus on school seems to push some activities back a lot more than others. I'm very rarely on ICQ (not that that's a totally new thing) and I sure haven't updated much here recently. When things feel more urgent I try to push down my surfing as well.

On the other hand, for unclear reasons my console gaming, and even more recently film watching, time has gone up a good deal. I don't think I really do spend more time on schoolwork, I just try to make myself believe I do ...

The real question is: would I be able to get more schoolstuff done if I tried even harder? Would that improve the quality of the schoolstuff? I don't know. Perhaps sinking more time into slow uncreative periods of staring at a text you feel you're getting nowhere with at the moment would yield an extra period of creative additions per day, perhaps not. I can imagine leaving something when inspiration dries up and coming back the next day doing just as much good.

All I know is that, just as usual, there are some things I'd like to get out of the way so I could focus more on things that are just for fun. This has been the situation for, I don't know, all of my life, so I don't really expect it to change too much in the near future. Something tends to come up ...

Besides, how much fun can you have without something to look forward to?

Now, if you'll excuse me, my tea's ready ...
