I'm back in Opera once again, for the first time in a while. Mozilla went CRASH on me a couple of times straight just now, I couldn't even get it to load ... Maybe I should get the latest version ... I'd hate to switch back now that I'm going to do a report about it and all :-) ...

Okay ... Updated to latest beta version, and things seem nice again. Then again, I think tabs might have been a major reason. I had about 6,022*1023 (or maybe it was about ten) open when it was crashin in its merry way, and now I have three. Don't like the way the tab handling isn't up to Opera standards yet. Maybe I should try and do something about that for the theme report :-) ...

Oh yes, I have to mention this. If you don't understand the joke, don't worry. If you do, enjoy. Willys has huge bags (ten kilo ones) of rice from Thailand for sale, and it's called Double Dragon. Not bad at all! I wonder if someone over there in the rice business has an interest or knowledge of old games or if it's just plain luck. Too nice either way ...

It's a bunch of hours later, and I'm still in Opera. Using it to surf Mozilla related pages, to boot :-) ... Tried out Phoenix for a little while as well, but removed it again for unclear reasons (feeling of redundancy mainly). I don't think I need more browsers, I just want a stable Mozilla again. Wonder what I broke? Wonder if it's something unrelated? Time will tell (?).

Hmmm, font smoothing in Windows XP. Thought I'd tried it before, but I don't remember anything having this much effect ... Not sure it's a real improvement either. Let's switch back again and compare ...

Okay. Fonts that are a bit bulky already get nice and smooth in all ways. Fonts like this one here in the textarea I'm writing this in get kind of blurry though. Instead of the pixels of the text being nice and black things grey out a bit to blend with the background, and it doesn't feel like any kind of improvement for readability. Actually feels like it might make my eyes teary ... I think this one's going off again ...

It's very nice for text in italics, that's for sure ...

Anything that isn't too small in size really ... Maybe this can be an indication to what size you should give your text, and to the fact that mine is too small. But what do I know :-) ...
