Easter is upon us

I am alternating packing things for a small Easter trip eastward with reading the Knowledge-creating company, looking over my finances and various types of note-taking and thought processing.

My average evening as of recently, in short.

This is being written to children screaming outside and hot cocoa with a pinch of cinnamon. That pinch, and slightly more sugar in relation to cocoa, made quite a lot of difference.

M and H were cleaning out their collective closets and, as is common in such cases, ended up providing me with some nice closet filling. In particular, I now possess a small pile of Amiga-related magazines from the mid-to-late nineties. Just the kind of things I like to devote some shelf-space to while I have plenty of it. Reading a review of Beneath a steel sky or Alien breed tower assault brings about a fair bit of nostalgia.

I also felt a bit of geekish pride, and a bit of confusion, when I realized the whole opening paragraph of that first review was completely wrong about the backstory of the game. So wrong that it simply seemed strange. Did they get a review copy without an introduction or something? I also found the editing to be a little weak in places ... I guess I've grown older and pickier ... But I take pride in my pickiness too! I like being the one to spot improvement areas in text. Make of that what you will ...

The sun is setting, but the birds are still singing and it's still completely tolerable to sit sock- and sleeveles in the sofa, Pomum in lap, with the balcony door wide open to hear said birds.

Random thing I've been fascinated by today: metro systems and the ghost stations of the wall-era Berlin.

Happy Easter, by the way! I'll have one.
