I ran today, for the first time in what feels like ages. Feelings of coming or going illness and varying levels of snow and ice have kept me at bay.

But this afternoon most snow was gone, most roads were dry and there was a definitive hint of spring in the air. With a rediscovered spring in my steps I walked homeward, wondering if my body would protest in any bad way over a bit of exercise.

It took about five running steps to be sure it wouldn't. My breathing wasn't up to speed at all, but otherwise everything worked well enough that I was a little bit surprised at how much slower than average I had been when I looked at the time after finishing.

But that's the way you should do it after all - always start slowly and gently. It was great to get moving again.

And to discover I hadn't turned into
a listless lump of goo
after this schedule interruption either.

(Some bad part of my mind always seems to expect that. It waits smugly, knowing that eventually there will be a break I won't come back from.)

Tomorrow Gob is coming along to work, there will be visitors from the Far north (Gothenburg) who need to be informed that they're behind in the toy race.

I installed the latest Safari developer preview.

That is good!

Access keys don't work in it ...

That is bad!

Ah well, it sure is fun to play with all the new HTML 5, CSS 3 and other eye candy it supports ...
